We are often faced with highly limited budgets for difficult areas.
This developer required a large work to fill this two- story wall. We commissioned a ceramic and fiber triptych to fill this space. This important wall is viewed from the entry area and the second floor bridge above.
The yarns in this commissioned work were selected to complement the soft, warm palette of the lobby’s finishes and include some metallic yarns which reflect light differently as the daylight changes.
A series of limited edition prints by Yale Epstein joins one side of this building to the other. The rhythm thus created reflects the rhythm of the skylight mullions above and the balustrades of the bridge railing. The images of abstracted landscapes continue the horizontality of the bridge.
